AWANA stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed.  The Purpose of AWANA is to fulfill the great comission, as a supplement to Sunday School, to help children to enjoy God’s Word, to build Christian friendships, and to provide Godly heroes.  The key verse for AWANA is 2 Timothy 2:15  ”Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth.”  Our goal for every child is they have a relationship with Jesus Christ and to grow spiritually in that relationship.  The objectives for AWANA is to reach children and parents with the Gospel, discipleship, and to train children and leaders to serve Him.

Week after week, God uses your church’s Awana ministry to build a strong biblical foundation in the lives of kids, youth and families. Awana rejoices over partnerships with churches and parents that produce a lasting faith in Christ generation after generation. Let’s celebrate God’s faithfulness together. Awana.

Volunteers are needed to work with the children.  We also need Sunday School Classes to provide supper for our volunteers Monday evening thru Thursday evening of that week.  If you are interested please contact Laura Miller at 865.388.8590.
