Mrs. Geneva Dockery – Pianist

Geneva Dockery received her Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee where she also studied the Suzuki method.  Mrs. Dockery is registered in all levels of Suzuki piano instruction and was formerly on faculty at Depaul University in Chicago.  She teaches for Knox Music Studios and Suzuki Piano of Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Mrs. Dockery reguarly attends workshops and clinics to advance in her training and is currently serving as Vice President of the Knoxville Music Teachers Association.  Mrs. Dockery has placed in such competitions as the Celebration of Excellence competition and the University of Tennessee Concerto competition.  Her public performances include: A Night of Worship and Music with Geneva Dockery, the William Bolcom Piano Festival, the Church Street United Methodist Advent Concert Series and the Ossoli Women’s Club solo performance.  She is also an experienced accompanist playing for numerous solo artists and professional musical productions.  Mrs. Dockery now resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband jazz pianist Ben Dockery and daughter Virginia.
