Doris is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. After graduating from Fulton High School in 1968, she attended Knoxville Business College and graduated with a secretarial endorsement. Doris began working at Inskip Baptist Church as a part time secretary in 1986. In 1993 she accepted the position as full time office manager. Her position title was changed to Ministry Assistant in 2007 to more accurately reflect the changing roll she performs. She sees her responsibilities as more than just employment. She says, “I have always felt God led me to this position in the Church and it is my ministry to HIm. I have been so blessed to have worked with, and to have known, so many fine Christians. My prayer is that I can be a blessing to each individual I come in contact with either on the phone or in the Church office.”
She married Bobby J. Mauk on August 13, 1970. They have two children and one grandchild. She is active in the Church serving as Sunday School teacher, conducting bible studies, participating in mission trips and helping in various ways. Her hobbies are traveling, reading and crocheting.
